Freedom Physiotherapy is available to eligible Freedom Elite, Freedom Essentials and Freedom Worldwide UK members whose policy includes outpatient physiotherapy benefits. Treatment through this service is available in the UK only.
Who delivers Freedom Physiotherapy?
Ascenti Physio is a UK provider of musculoskeletal physiotherapy with over 25 years of experience. It has 300+ registered physiotherapists across 300 clinics, and 90% of the UK population lives within 3 miles of an Ascenti clinic.
Through this partnership, you can have an initial virtual assessment with a physiotherapist, who will assess the problem and recommend the most appropriate support or treatment for you. This may include exercises and advice to follow at home, virtual sessions or face-to-face treatment where clinically appropriate.

Initial virtual assessment
Once your eligibility is confirmed, we will book a 30-minute initial virtual assessment for you with an Ascenti physiotherapist, who will assess the problem and recommend the most appropriate support or treatment for you.
Treatment based on your needs
Depending on your needs, your physiotherapist may recommend self-management, virtual treatment or face-to-face physiotherapy.
Personalised rehabilitation support
You may receive a personalised rehabilitation programme through the Ascenti Reach app, with up to six months’ access.
Direct billing with Ascenti
Ascenti bills Freedom Health Insurance directly. The initial virtual assessment is paid in full, with no excess, and is not taken from your outpatient limit. Follow-up treatment is subject to your policy excess, limits and terms.

Yes. If face-to-face treatment is clinically appropriate, your Ascenti physiotherapist can arrange treatment through the Ascenti clinic network, subject to availability. Any further treatment must be authorised by Freedom Health Insurance before it begins.

If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, Freedom Health Insurance may charge you for the appointment.
