What is Freedom Diagnostics?
Freedom Diagnostics gives eligible members access to X-ray and ultrasound scans. It is part of Freedom 360, our health and wellbeing toolkit, and is provided by Scan.com, which arranges scans at imaging centres.
Who can use it?
Your policy must include the relevant outpatient cover. Freedom Diagnostics is available with Freedom Elite, Freedom Essentials and Freedom Worldwide UK. It is not available with Freedom Worldwide Non-EEA.
How does it work?
- Get a referral for a scan from Freedom Digital GP, Freedom Physiotherapy or your own GP.
- Send the referral to our claims team on 01202 283 580 or claims@fhi.co.uk.
- If it is approved, we register you with Scan.com and send you a link to book your scan.
- Book a time and place that suits you.
What does it cost?
Your excess and outpatient limit apply.
Does a scan mean further treatment is covered?
No. The result of a scan, or a recommendation that follows it, does not confirm that further consultations or treatment will be covered. Contact us before you have any treatment you want to claim for.
How does it link to other Freedom 360 services?
Freedom Diagnostics works well alongside Freedom Digital GP and Freedom Physiotherapy. Both can refer you for a scan where it is clinically appropriate.
