Freedom increases upper age limit for child dependants for group schemes

01/03/2019 | By Freedom Health Insurance

Following broker feedback, we’ve reviewed the age limit on our Freedom Elite private medical insurance policy for child dependants on group schemes. As a result we are pleased to be increasing the maximum age.

What has changed?

With effect from 1 March 2019, the upper age limit for child dependants on Freedom Elite group schemes is increasing to 29 at policy inception. Children will be able to remain on the policy until the renewal date following their 30th birthday.

Who is affected?

This change applies to dependent children on Freedom Elite group schemes for new business and renewals.

Please note that the maximum age limit for child dependants on individual policies is not changing and remains at 24 years at policy inception.

If you have any questions about this change please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
