We are delighted to share that two valued members of the Freedom Health Insurance team have been shortlisted for individual awards at the COVER Women in Protection and Health Awards 2026!

Maggie Glasspool, our Claims Manager, has been named a finalist for Woman of the Year – Claims, while Lynne Heath, our Customer Service Manager, has been named a finalist for Woman of the Year – Customer Support. This recognition provides an opportunity to reflect on how claims expertise and high quality customer support shape the private medical insurance experience for members and brokers alike.

What are the COVER Women in Protection and Health Awards?

The COVER Women in Protection and Health Awards recognise professionals who are making a meaningful contribution across the UK health and protection insurance sector. The awards focus on individuals who demonstrate leadership, expertise, and a genuine commitment to improving customer outcomes.

They celebrate those who:

  • Deliver exceptional service to clients and advisers
  • Raise professional standards within the industry
  • Support colleagues and teams through strong leadership
  • Make a conscious effort to positively contribute to diversity and inclusion
  • Contribute positively to the wider health and protection industry

For brokers, employers, and individuals researching private medical insurance providers, industry recognition offers reassurance that service quality and customer care remain a central priority.

Maggie Glasspool shortlisted for Woman of the Year – Claims

As Claims Manager, Maggie Glasspool oversees a department that sits at the heart of the member experience. Claims teams support members at important moments, often when they are navigating medical concerns or arranging treatment. Being shortlisted highlights the positive difference exceptional claims leadership makes to both clients and intermediary partners.

Maggie shared:

“To be shortlisted again is something I am so proud of. Over the past 12 months, I have worked hard to strengthen the claims department while remaining personally accountable for the most complex and sensitive cases. A key focus for me is creating an environment where my team feel supported, trusted, and confident to make the right decisions for our members.”

Lynne Heath shortlisted for Woman of the Year – Customer Support

Customer service is often the first point of contact for our members and brokers, making clarity and empathy essential qualities within the role.

As Customer Service Manager, Lynne Heath leads a team focused on providing guidance, reassurance, and practical support across a wide range of enquiries and responsibilities. Her latest recognition follows her success at the COVER Women in Protection and Health Awards in 2025, where she received the Customer Support award, highlighting the continued impact of her leadership and commitment to exceptional customer service.

Lynne said:

“Being named a Woman of the Year finalist is an honour that fills me with pride and purpose. It represents more than recognition – it reflects the heart, integrity, and commitment I bring to my work every single day. I strive to show that exceptional service is rooted in genuine care and the belief that every interaction has the power to make a difference.”

The real value behind industry recognition in health insurance

This recognition is a celebration of Maggie and Lynne’s individual dedication and reminds us of the importance placed on delivering consistent, high-quality service every day.

In private medical insurance, policies provide access to treatment, but people deliver the experience.

A huge congratulations!

We are incredibly proud to see Maggie and Lynne recognised once again at the COVER Women in Protection and Health Awards. Their professionalism, dedication, and commitment to supporting members, brokers, and their team represent the culture of care and service we strive to uphold every day.

We look forward to celebrating alongside peers and colleagues at this year’s awards and wish Maggie and Lynne the very best of luck.
